An 11-year-old Sacramento boy who said regular school “bored” him graduated from American
River College in Sacramento (ARC), Calif. alongside 1,800 students May 20.

American River College officials say Tanishq is their youngest graduate this year, and he may be the youngest graduate in the school’s 60-year history. His fellow classmates were intimidated by him in their classes, but they were still happy to have a kid in the class with them

Tanishq Abraham told KXTV that it “feels good to graduate with three Associate’s degrees,” which he earned in math and physical science, general science and foreign language studies.

Abraham graduated from high school at the age of 10 and has been taking classes at ARC since he was 7 years old, according to a report by NBC’s KCRA. Home-schooled by his mother, Abraham earned a 4.0 GPA in high school.

At 11, Tanishq already has a long list of accomplishments and honors. Last year, he gained national recognition and earned attention from President Barack Obama, who sent him a congratulatory letter for being one of the youngest people to graduate from high school. He also received congratulatory messages from California officials.

He’s been a member of Mensa International, an academic and social organization for people whose IQs fall in the top 2% of the population, since he was four, according to the same report.

“The assumption is that he’s the all-time youngest,” a spokesman from American River College told KCRA. “But we don’t have all the archives to completely confirm. He was definitely the youngest this year.”

We the undersigned would respectfully like to present to the leader of Qatar, his Excellency Sheik Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani, evidence that funds from Qatar (the site of the 2022 Football World Cup) are fuelling the illegal destruction of elephant habitat around Wilpattu National Park in Sri Lanka, in particular the Jassim City project (named after and funded by a charity that carries the name of the President of Qatar) (1) (2). This destruction started shortly after high level talks between the Kingdom of Qatar and the Government of Sri Lanka (3) (4). The Prime Minister of Qatar his Excellency Sheikh Hamad Bin Jassim Bin Jabr Al-Thani met with both the Sri Lankan President’s brother the Minister of Economic Development, Basil Rajapaksa, who incidentally also has the Ministry of Wildlife under his control, and the Minister of Trade and Commerce, Rishad Bathiudeen (3) (4). There have been denials regarding the destruction of elephant habitat by Minister Basil Rajapaksa and the Sri Lankan Minister of Wildlife Resources and Conservation Management, Gamini Vijith Vijayamuni de Zoysa as well as by Minister Rishad Bathiudeen, claiming instead that these are legal resettlement of people displaced by the Sri Lanka Navy (5)(6)(7). However, evidence of the illegal nature of the settlement around Wilapattu is overwhelming and this includes satellite pictures of habitat destruction, billboard from the settlement advertising the origins of the sponsor and denials from the Sri Lanka
